What Items to Buy for Your Airbnb? Our Guest's Favorites
Over the years, I've started keeping a list of what the top 5 most liked items in my short term rental properties and vacation rentals have been. They don't change. And guests are very vocal about things they like, so the list is easy to put together and keep track of. Whenever guests have liked something, they tend to reach out asking for the product link and we keep track of all of them on Amazon lists. This typically gets reflected in the reviews as they comment on the good quality of these items, which gives a better score to get to the Superhost status. So for the sake of sharing, here's a quick list of the most liked items in our rental properties:

1. Memory Foam Mattress
This is THE most liked item so far. I have gotten endless questions and positive comments on the mattresses we equip our rental properties with.
2. Nespresso Machine (Coffee pods included)
You can never underestimate how much a good quality coffee is appreciated. We also have a drip coffee machine with ground coffee in every unit because some guests prefer that. But this is a great splurge that really makes a difference and goes far for guests.
3. Hotel quality linens
You know those soft white linens that most hotels have? Get those! It will give your property a hotel look to the vacation rental and level up the unit 100%. They also do well in the wash. I even give sets as presents to family because they're so popular.
4. Pillows
If your mattress and sheets are great but your pillows aren't...it's like forgetting the sauce on good pasta. Our guests always point out how comfortable the pillows are. We've even had a few "walk away" with guests.
5. Duvet
And the final item is again in the bedding section. Having a nice, comfortable, and high quality duvet (hotel style) makes a big difference for guests, especially in the winter. I have several properties in areas where it snows and guests really enjoy these.
